Holy Week at CLUMC

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday and ends with the celebration of Christ's resurrection on Easter Sunday. 

Cross Lanes UMC offers opportunities for worship, fellowship, shared learning, deep listening, prayer and celebration this week - so come and join us! 

Palm Sunday worship April 13 10am - join us in singing Hosanna as we remember and reflect on Jesus' entry into Jerusalem.

Maundy Thursday - 6pm - join us for a simple meal of soup and a short film that reflects on Jesus' last hours with his disciples. We will celebrate communion together as well. We will gather in the Fellowship Hall. 

Good Friday - 7pm - an interactive worship experience outside (weather permitting). What happened AFTER Jesus' body was taken down from the cross? We will have an opportunity to reflect on this question with music, conversation, a walk in the prayer labyrinth and an opportunity for silent reflection and prayer in the sanctuary as we ponder the question, "What Have We Done?" All are welcome.

Holy Saturday - the sanctuary will be open for prayer and reflection.

Easter Sunday - 10am - join us as we gather to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We will celebrate with familiar songs and the reading of the Easter morning story from the Gospel of John. Together we will proclam: Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen indeed!
